Maine Coon kittens usually take 3 years to mature fully. Drakos comes from a long line of BIG males. His dad is a 29 lb And grandfather 27 lbs. Drakos, at merely 2yr old, is already 18lbs and an impressive length to date.
Black smoke Maine Coons are more rare but when you see one you understand they are stunning like Drakos!! Each individual hair as a color at the tip of each shaft. like they have been tipped dyed. (at least 33% of the hair shaft) Smoke cats have a distinct inhibitor gene. This gene prevents the color to go all the way down. They will have bright silver color at the base of each hair shaft
Selina Blu- is a Blue Maine Coon with some smoke inhibitors showing in her tail and belly. So different from Drakos, where it is not bright silver, it is lighter blue tone. Blue Maine coons are an official solid color noted by the cat fanciers Association. Blu, does also carry the smoke inhibitor gene.
